Gabriel Appears to Mary

In this scene, little ones can color Angel Gabriel standing beside a startled Mary. As they fill in the details, discuss the importance of Gabriel's message and how Mary responded with humility.

To make it even more interactive, encourage children to find hidden objects or symbols within the scene, such as the dove or the staff that Gabriel carries.

Mary's Humble Dwelling

Our second scenario shows Mary in her humble home, receiving Gabriel's life-changing news. By coloring this picture, kids can understand the stark contrast between the angel's heavenly abode and Mary's earthly dwelling.

Incorporate some educational elements by asking kids to count the items in Mary's home or identify common domestic objects from that time period.

The Journey to Bethlehem

Next, we follow Mary and Joseph on their difficult journey to Bethlehem. Our coloring pages depict this long, arduous trek, offering opportunities to discuss perseverance and faith.

Encourage kids to think about the challenges Mary and Joseph faced, the things they carried with them, and how they kept their spirits high. Then, dive into our collection of journey-themed coloring pages below.

Mary and Joseph on the Road

Our first scene displays Mary and Joseph walking together, holding onto each other for support. As children color this drawing, discuss the importance of family and unity in times of trouble.

To enhance the educational value, ask kids to identify different features of the landscape, like mountains, rivers, or trees, and draw connections between the landscape and the emotions of the characters.

Resting Along the Way

In this scene, Mary and Joseph pause to rest during their long journey. Encourage kids to use their imagination and color in details about the surroundings, such as the type of trees or the state of the path ahead.

Use this as an opportunity to talk about the importance of taking breaks and caring for oneself, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.

After completing these angel-themed coloring pages, display them around your home or create a Nativity scene collage with other printed pages. This will serve as a beautiful reminder of the true meaning of Christmas and the important role that angels played in the story.
