Zipcar Portland: A Closer Look

Want to understand what makes Zipcar Portland tick? Let's dive into the details of their offerings and services.

Zipcar Portland offers two main types of membership: Zipcar and Zipcar Flex. The traditional Zipcar service provides access to a fleet of vehicles parked in dedicated spots, known as 'home' locations. These cars can be reserved for hours or days at a time, with gas and insurance included in the price.

Zipcar Service

With Zipcar, you'll enjoy 180 miles of driving per day reservation, ideal for short trips or running errands around Portland. The service offers one-way trips, allowing you to leave the car at a different 'home' location, perfect for exploring the city.

Zipcar's vehicles are parked in convenient, designated locations throughout Portland. Members can conveniently reserve a car online or via the Zipcar app, with keys securely located in a lockbox on the windshield. This keyless entry system ensures a seamless pick-up and drop-off process.

Zipcar Flex

Alternatively, Zipcar Flex offers a more on-demand experience. With Flex, vehicles are parked in designated areas but not in dedicated spots. This allows for more flexibility, as you can pick up a car within a few blocks of your location.

Flex cars can be reserved for as little as an hour or as long as four days. However, reservations aren't required; you can simply use the app to locate an available car and begin your journey immediately. Gas and insurance are included, with the miles driven determined by a base rate plus a per-minute charge.
